Night game drives offer a unique opportunity to witness the world of nocturnal creatures, including porcupines, civet cats, aardvarks, and more. These excursions also provide an excellent chance to encounter both predators and herbivores as they come alive in the nighttime environment. If you're eager to experience the likes of civet cats, porcupines, genets, mongoose, aardvarks, cape hares, and other nocturnal wildlife, a night game drive is the perfect choice.

Where to experience the best game night drive?

Night game drives are available as an optional extra and are typically organized by third-party tour operators, offered in select national parks.

In Tanzania, you can arrange night game drives at Lake Manyara National Park and Tarangire National Park, although it's important to NOTE that they are not permitted in the Serengeti or Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

In Kenya, the only place where night game drives are allowed is Ol Pejeta.

Tips:  Before embarking on a night game drive safari, bring warm clothing, a flashlight for better visibility, and be ready to witness nocturnal wildlife activity in a safari vehicle equipped with spotlights.
